| Electrical Engineer/Power Reference Number: 50349887 Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia Industry Unit: Civil Department: Engineering Required Start Date: Immediate Living Status: Employee and Family SPECIFICATION: Accountability: -Review of Design Consultants and main contractors design and drawing packages for major projects for voltages of 115kV and below and the direction of a small team of electrical and instrument engineers to do same. -Preparing innovative designs for the continuing expansion of the 13.8kV electrical distribution system. -Coordinate transmission and distribution of (SEC) specifications, standards and practices and comments into project design documents. -Supply design consultants with information for all design issues including fault and load flow studies and interfaces. -Provide support to Construction Department and Project Team, and disposition field changes. -Review construction shop drawings and materials submittals. -Prepare electrical design calculations, load flow calculations, cable ampacity and volt drop calculations. -Use computer codes to perform analysis and design of electrical system & computation of power demand. -Support Investment Promotion Department when required, by reviewing designs submitted by the industries. -Continuously updating the status of power supply availability to the residential and industrial communities and provide solutions and alternatives to power supply routing and systems satisfying SEC’s standards. Key Technical Skills: -College graduate with BS in Electrical Engineering. -Chartered/Professional Engineer. -Experience in the design of electrical power systems, particularly at 115kV, and its associated practices. -Conversant with the practices and procedures of a National electrical transmission authority. -Knowledge of codes and standards of IEEE or equivalent. -Experience in field construction. -Sufficient knowledge in computer codes for electrical design, including ETAP and other power system studies. | |
