VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Manager – Project Management & Disaster Recovery for our Oman operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Skill Set required:
Responsibilities:

1. Manage IT projects and provide necessary guidance to the project managers/leads and technical resources for project completion.
2. Manage and explain business requirements to Technical Team to draw their System requirements and System design.
3. Identify opportunities and recommend processes for improving business operational efficiency & quality through automation.
4. Evaluate the new business requirements in align to the current and future needs of the bank and consistently deliver high quality services to the business users within the budget and project schedule timelines.
5. Manage new projects as assigned by the Reporting Manager from time to time.
6. Research new technologies for adoption in the bank. Participate in development of business requirements & explain the same to technical team to draw system specifications / design.
7. To identify opportunities and recommend processes for improving business operational efficiency & quality through automation.
8. To manage the testing, user acceptance and implementation of new programs and products and ensure that users are properly trained on them.
9. Prepares project documents & maintaining quality records.
10. Identify, recommend and recruit suitable staff for the department for the vacant positions.
11. Identify the training needs of staff in the department.
12. Conducting appraisal of the subordinates, gives them guidance and assistance to carry out their tasks to meet the objectives.
13. Manage software versions and documentation for in-house developed systems.
14. To comply with bank’s Information Security Policy during development of systems.
15. Development and control of IT budgets and Expenditure.
16. Keep Disaster Recovery site in a ready state to ensure bringing up the Disaster Recovery site for live operations within the stipulated time under DR Plan of declaration of disaster.

Skills:

a) Preferably an engineering or management graduate with sound Banking Products Knowledge.
b) Minimum 10 years of experience in the Information Technology with knowledge of core banking systems and process or experience in finance industry. He should have hands on experience on Project Management, Systems Development, Implementation and Support of the systems and technologies mentioned below: -

o Proven expertise in project management and project resource handling
o Proven expertise in Finacle Core-Banking Systems.
o Knowledge of allied banking systems such RTGS, ACH, ALM, AML etc.
o Banking Domain Knowledge.
o Knowledge of SDLC concepts, Banking processes and Business Process management.
o Test automation tools
o UNIX, Windows 2003 operating systems.

Domain : Banking
Experience Required : Minimum 10 yrs.
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame : 2 weeks (Maximum 4 weeks)
The selected candidates shall join VAM SYSTEMS and shall be deputed to one of the leading banks in Oman.
