| Infrastructure Specialist DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate with account executives and business development personnel to translate client requirements into a data networking solution using HP Procurve, Extreme, Cisco, Dlink and Juniper Product lines • Will work as part of a internal Consulting team, largely compiled of multi skilled multi level engineers tasked with evaluation of the existing route/switch, wireless and security infrastructure. • Capacity planning • Recommends additions and changes to information system standards, policies and procedures • Effectively manage server/network equipment life-cycles. Provide input into annual budget process for clients • Monitor and manage server traffic & system loads • Rapidly troubleshoot system outages • Direction, support, and implementation of Corporate Email systems • Operation and management of the networks and servers • Provide applicable desktop assistance for LAN connectivity issues • Overall Server evaluation, configuration, installation and setup • User Account administration • Develop, document, and maintain system standards including but not limited to: Passwords, usernames, email, storage capacity, disaster/recovery, backups, security • Installation, Support, and Administration of 3rd party server and network based applications • Assist with remote access solutions • Measure quality/coverage issues associated with the Server & Wide Area Network. • Assists and coordinates the new installation and movement of remote locations. • Ensure the stable and reliable connectivity of all LAN and WAN devices • Monitor and manage network traffic loads through traffic filtering • Rapidly troubleshoot network outages • Design and integrate new WAN links as required • Security & Disaster/Recovery • Oversees remote access capabilities • Performs tasks related to voice management - This includes working with: PBX, premise distribution, voicemail, 800 service, trunking, unified messaging and any other peripheral added to the voice communications environment • Performs moves, adds, and changes to all voice system(s) components • Measure quality/coverage issues associated with the Wide Area Network • Coordinates the new installation and movement of remote locations. This includes the installation of cabling, key systems, and wan circuit • Coordinates the installation and planning of changes in service with vendors and organizational staff | |
