| Head of Health Planning Job Description The Head of the Health Planning Section • Plans & directs methodologies for the evaluation of the actual healthcare needs of the overall population and targeted groups in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi • Assess current health care services and programs in Abu Dhabi Emirate • Participate in the development of strategic health plans for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi • Develops & prioritizes health plans for further expansions and/or the establishment of new health services and programs to meet the actual healthcare needs of the population • Conduct and/or oversees various feasibility studies for proposed health and medical projects, to ensure that all fit in with strategic plans • Supervises and oversees the coordination with other stakeholders involved in the provision of health care programs and services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, for the purpose of future health planning and the possible introduction of new health funding strategies following HAAD strategic directions Qualifications • Degree in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public Health or related disciplines • Post graduate degree in health management is preferable • Clinical experience of more than 5 years is required • NLT 10 years in Health Management in supervisory post • Profound experience in strategic & healthcare planning • Sound grasp of legislation, policies and regulations governing healthcare provision in AD & UAE | |
