| Senior Oracle Database Administrator for UAE VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore & India. VAMSYSTEMS is currently looking for Senior Oracle Database Administrator for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions: Skills Set required: • Install, Maintain, Upgrade and administrate Oracle Apps Instances and Oracle DB instances (Apps DBA, Oracle DBA) – Includes backup, recovery, performance tuning, disaster recovery • Install, Maintain, Upgrade and administrate Unix, Linux operating systems, clusters • Install, Maintain and administrate Windows operating system and clusters also. • Solid HP Superdome experience is mandatory. Responsibilities: • Responsible for providing day-to-day support and maintenance for key databases and services of our enterprise application platform • Responsible for investigating potential problems and issues raised by business users; this includes being on a on-call rotation and carrying a pager as needed • Monitor database events and proactively optimize system performance • Work with the team to automate reactive procedures where possible, and to promote rapid response to known issues • Work with other teams to promote changes to production and other environments • Accountable for maintaining database configurations in compliance with established best practices • Oversee data fixes for business issues or to address application issues • Accountable for proper backup and disaster recovery procedures • Work in conjunction with other IT, application development, and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective • Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of the database architecture and the general application functionality used to maintain data integrity Knowledge and Skills Oracle DBA - Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g on (Unix, Linux) Oracle Apps DBA - 11i (11.5.7 till 11.5.10) HP-UX 11i , Red Hat Linux - O/S Installation, Performance Tuning, Maintenance, O/S Backups Shell Scripts Domain: Banking Experience Required: 6+ Years Terms and conditions: Joining time frame: Maximum 4 weeks The selected candidates shall join VAM SYSTEMS – UAE and shall be deputed to one of the leading banks in UAE. | |
