The Imagery Analyst/Exploitation Analysts will research, assess, integrate, manipulate, exploit, extract, and analyze digital imagery in support of counter-IED operations. They will use understanding of remote sensing, spatial (spatio-temporal) analysis, GIS, intelligence issues, and background in the social or physical sciences to characterize events, discover relationships and trends, infer conclusions, enable descriptive and predictive behavior, and communicate the meaning and significance of these results. Functional Responsibility Imagery Analysts/Exploiters will be responsible for forensic imagery exploitation and analysis of full motion video to identify anomalies associated with vehicle activity. They will be responsible, using the tools provided, for publishing graphical Phase 1 analytical reports within specified reporting timelines.
The system consists of an aerial ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) platform. Flying in fixed wing aircrafts 3-4 times a week will be necessary to work on this system.
Ideal applicant needs to be a computer, electrical, or systems engineer. Imagery analysis is part of the job. The primary responsibilities include:
1. Operate and monitor mainframe and mid-range computer and peripheral equipment to include; printers, tape and disk drives.
2. Observe operation of equipment, control panels, error lights, verification printouts, error messages, and faulty output.
3. Research error messages and manipulate console to resequence job steps after a job is interrupted.
4. Monitor console control panel for faulty output or machine stoppage.
5. Make procedural and/or operational corrections as necessary.
6. Contact appropriate staff to resolve console control panel errors.
7. Determine source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.).
8. Advise staff on appropriate action.
9. Remove and distribute computer output.
10. Clear equipment at end of operating run and review schedule to determine next assignment.
11. Serve as liaison between staff and the technology department to resolve issues.
12. Provide recommendations on company technology purchases.
13. Document computer problems and resolutions for future reference.
14. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
Other duties as assigned.
Applicants must possess a current Secret clearance. Applicants must meet US military standards for deployment. Must be willing to deploy to live and work in a potentially hostile environment designated by the U.S. Government as an Imminent Danger Zone or Hostile Fire Zone.
