Infrastructure – Project Planner

Due to our continuing expansion a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Engineer to be based in our Dubai office.

Requirements

Technical Competencies

Essential

• BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of infrastructure design/construction
• Minimum 10 years of relevant post experience in planning/control capacity preferably on large scale Infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of project feasibility studies and strategic planning
• Knowledge of the full project lifecycle, including design and procurement
• Understanding relevant Technical Documents/Specifications
• Professional working knowledge of the following software: project planning software (Primavera P6 experience, MS Project)and MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Behavioural Competencies

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
• Ability to work under pressure
• Punctual
• Able to act on own initiative and in proactive manner

Responsibilities

• Preparation and monitoring of the project resources; including design, procurement and construction schedules together with supporting information.
• Coordinate and manage the preparation and development of target schedules together with associated information required schedules.
• Review the programmer and related documents from the client/concerned parties contractor including monthly reports and analyse the content to ensure compliance with contract documentation.
• Review schedule trends to identify problem areas. Monitor actual progress against planned progress.
• Monitor and report design progress including status of documentation submission, review and approval process.
• Prepare progress monitoring tools for the management and monitoring of the above mentioned schedules. Identify deviations (progress trends) in design, construction and procurement process.
• Maintain weekly report on design and/or construction progress and specific relevant events impacting the work programme
• Assist the team manage bids and ongoing projects
