| Digital Art Director Job Description: Art Director Designation: Digital The Art Director (AD) will work in conjunction with the Digital Creative Group Head, the Creative Director and senior management to deliver upon the Agency’s creative vision of measurable, outstanding award winning work. You must be a highly conceptual creative who is constructive, fearless, driven, charismatic, smart, self-possessed, committed to a vision and possess leadership skills. You must have a well-rounded understanding of graphic design, information architecture, usability, technology, and experience design. Applied conceptual strategy is key, with the ability to participate actively and in cases lead a team through brainstorming. Along with management and leadership skills you will be expected to produce high quality work. You will be expected to interact with positively with client servicing as well articulate an idea with clients. You must be a problem solver, have a ‘can do’ attitude, strong work ethic and have passion for the interactive communications and be driven to win awards. Skills Strong creative and conceptual vision for multimedia and the ability to execute high quality integrated interactive communications against strategic business objectives. Is an expert in graphic design Strong comprehension of information architecture and editorial disciplines and methodologies. Mastery of project concept creation, site architecture, user-interface specification, functionality specification and interactive design. Strong understanding of front-end interactive design solutions for back-end data systems. Working knowledge of capabilities of different platforms and browsers, and their design constraints on the Web. Successful experiences working with and selling to clients. Ability to work with junior creative teams including information architects, and writers. Strong time management and creative resource management capabilities Has demonstrated ability to direct and multi-task effectively under pressure. Responsibilities Creative team o Assist in development of junior members of the creative team. o Leads senior and junior designers in their project work. o Assist Digital Creative Group Head (DCGH) and CD: driving creativity and innovation for the agency internal creative competitions creative WIP’s Project Work: o Coordinates with DCGH, CD and resource manager in projections for, and assignment of, creative discipline group members to client projects. o Ensures that work is delivered to scope, time and budget o Assists in allocation of creative resources to studio work o Specifically, leads and directs a project, the development and execution of short term (project specific) and long term (account specific) creative strategies. o Develops and creative estimates and signs them off with CGH. o Ensures high quality, profitable execution of creative deliverables. o Maintains an awareness of status and project deliverables of all discipline group members' project work. o Facilitates and orchestrates contact between account creative team and client. Agency o Assist in the development and execution of account growth strategies with account core team members to meet account goals set by the engagement lead. o Participates constructively in inter-department communications. o Manages, prepares and presents new business development and project presentations. o Contributes to the evolution and maintenance of each creative discipline workflow. Education and Experience three to five years of professional experience encompassing the following: A minimum of two years as a senior with experience in at least two years in interactive. Has successfully directed/ managed junior creative teams in the production of Internet and multimedia products, and has worked in multi-disciplinary teams that included producers, artists, designers, writers, and engineers. High-bandwidth interactive development experience is viewed a plus. Has degree in or training in area of discipline expertise.
